Wild Encounters Outdoor School is offering a March Break program at Sulphur Spring Conservation Area designed to enhance your child's knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the natural world and our amazing planet! Pre-registration is necessary. Featuring snowshoeing, hiking, nature games, crafts, exploring/investigating wildlife, wilderness survival and more.
All programs are designed for youth aged 5 to 12.
Registration is now open!
$50.00 plus HST per person (total of $56.50/person). Space is limited to 14 participants, so register early to avoid disappointment.
Why attend Wild Encounters? Young people are naturally curious. In a safe, qualified, experienced instructor lead day of exploration and fun, your child will learn some new outdoor skills, make new friends, get active outdoors and learn more about our natural world.

•Warm winter coat, winter boots, snowpants, extra mitts or gloves, hat or toque.
•Lunch with extra drinks and healthy snacks (all nut free please).
•Filled refillable water bottle.
•Signed photograph permission/risk waiver.
•A re-useable cloth face mask if desired.
Saugeen Conservation will not be providing food or a water fountain, however there is potable water to be accessed via tap with educator help. Please remember to Label all Items To help us get all your child's belongings home at the end of the day, make sure their names are on all personal items.
Leave Valuables at Home
Leave cell phones and other valuables at home. These have a habit of falling out of pockets and getting lost in the woods! If campers do bring valuables, we are not responsible for them.
Drop off / Pick up
We are on site from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Please ensure you check-in with us before and after the program. Thanks. The program starts at 9:00 am and is done at 4:00 pm at the Resource Centre.
Arrival
The resource centre is located halfway down the lane marked “no trespassing” at the very east end of the property. There is a parking lot there for dropping off your child(ren). Drop-off/pick-up times are extended to allow for staggered pick-up and drop-off. Please feel free to drop-off 15 minutes early so that programming can start on-time. Pick-up is extended for 15 minutes after the program.
Please ensure that your child is healthy and prepared for the day before you leave them with us.
Refunds and cancellation
Please note that the program may be canceled at any time due to Covid-19 restrictions. If programming is already underway, there will not be a refund for the day. If the cancellation occurs the day before programming, or with longer notice, a refund will be issued.
